Have you ever noticed that people with small dogs are more likely to treat the dog like a child?

People with big dogs treat their dogs like animals, with love and friendship, but like DOGS. Most people I know that own small dogs, like Pekinese or Shitzus, treat their dogs like children, and dress them in cloths and pamper them. Anyone else?

My friend and I are talking about starting a dog bakery business baking dog treats. The name we like best so far is Pampered Pooches Gourmet Bakery. Any suggestions?

Does this new ’spoiled dog’ trend annoy you?

It seems like every other female celebrity (Paris, Britney) has a tiny furry arm accessory these days. People are spending more and more on their pets. I see racks full of dog clothing in every pet store that wasn’t there a few years ago. Do you get annoyed when you see people buying ‘bling’ and clothing for their dogs? Do you think it’s cute to see pampered little dogs? Or do you not care and think ‘to each their own”? Just curious.
I have a tiny dog btw…I would say she is a bit pampered but I don’t dress her up or buy designer dog carriers or anything!

I’m looking for a lap dog to pamper and spoil. I would like one that is loving and happy to sit on my lap and not always running around. I don’t mind brushing or giving special attetnion the dog needs; I have time. I want it to be happy to go in the car with me and happy to stay at home. I would like it to be small enought to go in a purse. And most important not too hard to house break. Any suggestions????
I would like a lap dog to pamper and spoil. One who is happy to go in the car or happy to stay at home. (when it has to) Most important is a dog who is not hard to house train!!!
When I mentioned to go in a purse…. I just was referring to how small I would prefer the dog to be. I’m really about a dog being a loyal friend and not an accessary!!
