Is it wrong to exclude the dog?

Dónde Están asked:

I was visiting two of my friends, and playing rummy. They had a dog and two cats.
The dog was compelled to sit in the other room and lie on a rug, while the two pampered darling cats got to climb on the dining room table.
Well, personally, I prefer cats, but this seemed really wrong. Poor Duke was excluded from all the fun. We could even hear him making that whining sound that dogs make.
Dogs got feelings, too. Just like anybody else!

What ª Hoot! asked:

1. say your dog(s) name and breed
2. list the ways you will pamper him/her tonight
3. get on with it ; )

Okay, so I have labrador retriever named Scout.
I am going to take her on a walk, (then read ur responses to this quickly. lol.), then play with her/spend time with her, and let her sleep in my room(again). I will also play fetch with her and watch American Idol with her.

Does anyone else’s dog/dogs fake an ear infection?

amyjp612—RIP Triana asked:

Mine had a really bad one a while back (I now clean his ears frequently), and I had to pamper him more in order to put his ear meds in. However, he can hold one ear at a 90 degree angle relative to his other ear, when it IS NOT infected. He will put it back up if I look away. I think he fakes it to get attention.

Does anyone else’s dog do this?

College student + Dog = breed?

TPsalmist asked:

I’m a 18 yr old working college student who plans on moving to my own apartment soon. I want a dog but not sure of what breed. I don’t really want a large dog since I will be living in a apartment. Not really into the whole pamper and grooming of dogs. I guess that means I want a short haired small dog who is low maintenance.

Whats the dog for me ?
Forgot to add I’m a guy and not really looking for a “girly” dog, feel me?

Question About Dog Behavior–I Found Him As A Lost Pet or Stray?

September 4, 2009 by Admin

Lovelymissdiorella asked:

Hello all, I need some help from the real dog experts out there; as I am nowhere near one!

The story is, we found this dog about a week ago wandering the streets; he appears to be someone’s pet. He immediately came over to us when we called him. He wasn’t wearing a collar but was very clean and very well groomed, nails clipped and he’s also neutered. After posting fliers/ads, we’ve unfortunately had no luck in finding the owner and pretty soon, will have to take him to a shelter. It’s hard trying to figure this one out but I’d like to be able to have some information so that he can be matched to the right owner. I’m not sure if he was abused or not, but he’s very timid and almost cowers when you approach him. He doesn’t interact with my children or anyone else for that matter, he follows me around the house ALL DAY (EVERY move I make) and stares at me all day. He CONSTANTLY wants attention, held, etc. Are these the signs of an abused or pampered dog? Your opinions please!
Just to add a few more details, he also cowers around other dogs. I would say this one is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix; my friend has a Lhasa Apso no bigger than he is, and he doesn’t play or interact with him. He runs under either my legs or my friend’s legs!
Ok, the thing of it is, I really would LOVE to keep him, but he just wants too much attention…really! He’s not an “independent” dog, he just wants me to pick him up and hold him all day! I believe he needs to be with someone who can devote the time to him (which I cannot), but I was afraid that he might have been abused…
